Sania Santos concentrates her practice on litigation, including insurance defense, personal injury, immigration law and domestic relations.
Prior to joining FWY, Sania practiced in the Greater Boston area. She concentrated her practice on domestic relations and immigration law. Also, she was a volunteer Attorney at the Edward W. Brooks Courthouse Court Service Center where she assisted pro se litigants in understanding court rules and procedures for divorce, guardianship, custody and support actions.
Sania received her J.D. from New England Law|Boston. While attending New England Law|Boston, she participated in the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition in addition to joining several public service organizations. Particularly, Sania enjoyed a high level of autonomy and responsibility, working closely with a team of assistant district attorneys to successfully prosecute number of cases at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
During a Legislative Internship with the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute Inc., she worked with a large coalition of immigration advocacy organizations that helped mobilize Massachusetts immigrant communities’ opposition to key components of proposed federal legislation. Moreover, as a Law Clerk with the Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition’s Greater Boston Citizenship Initiative, Ms. Santos represented immigrants who desired to become U.S. Citizens but faced barriers to naturalization.
Additionally, she graduated from the Commonwealth Honors College at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she received her B.A. in Legal Studies.
